In a small hamlet 6 minutes drive from the village of Ansac sur Vienne, is a lovely little cottage which has uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. Truly a renovation project which will if done sympathetically be well worth someone's hard work and dedication.
Ansac sur Vienne has around 855 habitants and the village is situated, as indicated by its name; on the banks of the Vienne river. The village has a very nice Boulangerie/patisserie (I needed lunch whilst there) and various other small enterprises.
Confolens is 8 minutes drive from the main village and there you will find all the amenities needed for everyday living, including supermarkets, schools, doctors, bars and restaurants.
The international airports at Limoges and Poitiers for daily flights to several UK destinations are only 46 minutes and one hour 20 minutes away respectively.
Limoges and Poitiers also have rail links; the latter providing cross platform TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux and other French cities plus Brussels and London (via Lille).
The cottage itself rests within to one edge the hamlet, with its gardens, mainly to the side and back of the property, leading to views over the fields and countryside beyond.
Mains electricity and water and drainage system would have to be installed; the roof is in good/reasonable condition. I am told that broadband is available in the hamlet.
